The following posts are Before and After pictures of our renovation from a few years back. Of course there are a lot of things we learned in the process, things we would have done differently, but really it was a pleasure to live in a beautiful (if high maintenance) house. I complained about the lack of storage but looking back, it was a pretty good fit. The kitchen suited me and all of my implements perfectly. My brother’s brilliant idea to seal up the stairs to the basement and make a walk in pantry is sorely missed. Well, there are lots of things we miss. It’s funny how they are never the things you think about until they are gone like spacious walls, correctly installed crown molding, the corian counter and sink. I’ve adopted a buy and hold strategy on this house since the market is so bad. Maybe some day we’ll make all those little perfecting updates we never got around to the first time!
